Rebekah here! Welcome to MOTIF, my creative corner of the world. Before we get into the details of MOTIF, let me tell you a little bit about myself first.

Having always had a creative bone in my body, I've grown up around the arts. I studied performing arts at college, then went on to study a BA in Drama at The University of Essex, to which I graduated from in 2023. I then completed my masters at Essex in Scriptwriting (Theatre and Digital Media) in September 2024.

I currently teach at a performing arts academy for young people. I teach performing arts skills and musical theatre for a wide range of ages.

I am also a writer, I have written articles, plays, short plays, screen plays and short stories. I enjoy other creative hobbies such as photography, reading and video games.

What does MOTIF mean?

The word motif means a decorative image or design, especially a repeated one forming a pattern. The pattern on this blog it that it will be filled with all things creative, written about or photographed by myself. The pattern is creativity.

I decided to create this page because I enjoy writing and want to share some of the things I experience on a day-to-day basis. To have a place where I can let my thoughts explode and share my excitement.
